Turner Classic Movies has revealed more guest presenters and films that will take place during their upcoming TCM Classic Film Festival (April 18-21, 2024), including the world premiere of David Fincher’s restored 1995 feature “Se7en” in Imax.

Fincher will be on-hand to introduce his thriller, which stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman as two detectives on the hunt for a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as inspiration for his crimes.

  1. People in the blu-ray.com forums are receiving emails that the 4K version of Se7en was delayed until 2025. So this screening is going to be quite special 🙂 I’m wondering if this screened version is going to be the final version released next year… or is he going to tinker with the restoration even more!?

    1. I’d think the screened version would certainly be a test of the same restoration work but also that the 4K HDR version for modern TVs should be kind of its own beast.

      Also, it will be interesting to learn what modern techniques they are using, probably AI based, and hopefully more sensibly used than… cough! Caugh! Cameron!
